Sitch Lane Great Hayward is the first recorded Betts/Bett residence (see Betts generation <9>).
Part of the Lane still exists although not now by that name.
The houses shown below would have both been in Sitch Lane in the 18th Century.

Bradley Nr Stafford

The picture below is of Bradley Parish Church Staffordshire where Samuel Betts was married on the 27th Feb. 1848 .
Samuel could have been the first of our family line to leave Great Hayward, as records show that his son Thomas was baptised at the Church on 16th Oct. 1853
