BETTS FAMILY TREE STAFFORDSHIRE
This family tree starts in the village of Great Haywood
in the mid 14th century and follows part of the
Betts family through the years to almost the
present day.
All Information has been gleaned from the IGI, Census and Parish records.
Also used for cross reference has been the Bishop's
transcripts, War Memorial records and family bible records.
I acknowledge and thank all people and sites for their contributions
to enable this site to be completed.
I would also like
at this point to thank all patient members of all
the local History societies, Council offices,
the William Salt Museum and in particular,
for all their invaluable contributions to enable this site to be
made.
The Family Tree includes some of the the Pick family from Gloucestershire as this was the family name of my mother Rosa Pick who married into the Betts family in 1939, and the Clifford family from the Gloucester/Wiltshire area as this was the family name of my Grandmother Alice Mary Clifford who married into the Betts family in 1908.
NAMES ON BETTS PAGES ARE AS FOLLOWS
Betts/Bett/Bott/Bette/Bettson are all varieties of Betts
due to dialect and illiteracy.
